Stewed Pork Chops with Rice
Ingredients:
4 boneless pork chops
1/3 cup raw brown rice
2/3 cup raw white rice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup butter
220 g green peas
1 (140 g) can of chopped water chestnuts, drain
120 g fresh mushrooms, chopped
1/2 cup water
300 g beef broth
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1 (30 g) pack of dry onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cooking:
In a large skillet over medium heat, fry pork chops until brown on both sides.
Lightly grease a cauldron with oil, then put brown and white rice, onion, butter, peas, water chestnuts and mushrooms in it.
Pour in water, beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Add the mixture for the preparation of onion soup mix, seasoning with pepper.
Put the pork chops on top.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 7 to 9 hours, or over high heat for 4 to 5 hours, the main thing is not to digest.
Rice absorbs all the pork juices, because it lies at the bottom and it turns out really delicious.
The pork is fried and tender at the same time.
You get a wonderful dinner in one pan and without much hassle.
