Advertising is designed to characterize a product or service, to do everything possible to attract maximum attention of potential buyers. She also vividly demonstrates the reasons why this or that product is better among all the others.

But, in the advertising world, there is such a thing as anti-advertising, which is the exact opposite of the usual advertising for us. Anti-advertising is specific information that is not intended to increase interest in a product, but to reduce it. Also, this type of advertising is designed to discredit product brands, signs, companies and their products and services.


Anti-advertising can bring a real collapse of the company, make it a laughing stock and destroy public interest in goods. Sometimes this is done by competitors in that market. Where the canons of healthy and fair competition are not known.


In Russia, anti-advertising and any semblance of this type of advertising are strictly prohibited. Unfortunately, prohibitions of this kind have the power to control public places and organizations.


Modern users create anti-ads on their own, exchange among themselves on the network, thereby anti-advertising is distributed among a large number of people. This type of advertising reveals the whole negative essence of the company or brand, clearly demonstrating the negative sides and shortcomings.


The reason for the creation of anti-advertising can be several factors. For example, a company issued a billboard, and placed it in an unsuccessful place, as was the case with the United Russia advertisement placed near the cemetery.


The ridiculous slogan can serve as a reason for ridicule. Also, anti-advertising is the public indignation of a dissatisfied consumer or user of services. Anti-advertising can significantly reduce interest in products and reduce sales.
